Welcoming families to North Haven by providing a secure, fun place for young children to play and learn about Jesus

Welcoming families...

Private nursing area for mothers features a changing table, bassinet, rocking chair, and, of course, all the necessary items such as blankies, diapers, and wipes.

...secure...

Our pager system allows parents to attend classes and worship services knowing that if their child needs anything, they are just a "buzz" away.  Volunteers have attended North Haven Church for at least six months and have submitted to a background check.

...fun place...Rachel loves crafts

Our preschool routine during the 11:00 service includes a theme-based craft, a variety of table or floor games, and group time.  We rotate toys each season so that there is always something "new" to discover!

...children to play...

Our toy shelves are labeled with pictures to help display toys in an appealing way and ensure success during clean-up time!  The toys and shelves are sanitized weekly, though any toy that goes in a mouth is collected as soon as the child sets it down.

...learn about Jesus.

Each month we use a new Bible verse as our theme.  Children and volunteers enjoy exploring the theme through various activities such as crafts, simple games, and playtime.  We are excited to offer pre-school VBS for children ages 3 - 5, during our summer Vacation Bible School.

North Haven Church believes that the nursery is a very important ministry of our church. Nurseries are where new people are welcomed, families connect, and where God's love is demonstrated each week.

Questions about our nurseries can be directed to Rebecca Sorensen, Early Childhood Education Coordinator.

Nursery Policy

Sick Children…

Sick children are not allowed in the nursery or preschool rooms. If your child has experienced any of the following symptoms within the last 24 hours, they must stay with you:
1. Fever
2. Vomiting - diarrhea
3. Runny nose which is cloudy or colored (Ew!  Gross!)
4. Questionable rashes

Nursery Staff…

Our nursery is staffed by caring, trained volunteers who have been background checked for safety.  If you are a regular attender with children in our ministry programs, we count on your support of our Nursery Ministry.

Visiting our Nurseries…

Parents are always welcome to accompany their children into the nursery to help them feel comfortable and get ready to play.  Otherwise, only scheduled volunteers may come past our check-in counter.
